Exhibition Night w/ Sac Republic
PBL at Washington Elementary School -
This is our 9th year as a PBL STEAM school. As a school community, we’re growing to enhance our capacity to engage students in authentic community-centered projects, empowering them to take the lead and develop their independence, leadership, and academic proficiency. Our vision is to create an environment where our team can share their expertise in Project-Based Learning (PBL) with colleagues both within our district and beyond, reaching across the state and nation.
Students present this learning twice a year:
November- “The Messy Middle”
May- Student Exhibition Night
PBL at Washington looks authentic, is student and community centered and infuses the 5 Pursuits- Joy, Criticality, Identity, Intellectualism and Skills, G. Muhammad- Cultivating Genius: An Equity Framework for Culturally and Historically Responsive Literacy.
